Doctors Hearing Care is an out of network provider of services for ALL commercial insurance companies, including all Medicare Advantage plans. We are not providers for Indiana Medicaid, or any of the Indiana Medicaid managed care programs.

We are participating providers for traditional Medicare.

Please contact your insurance carrier to determine what your out of network benefit are. If you have an HMO plan, you will not have any out of network benefits.

We are happy to electronically file claims for you, however, it is YOUR responsibility to understand your own health insurance benefits.

Frequently Asked Questions

Medicare Part B (medical insurance) will cover the diagnostic hearing and balance exams once per year OR to “diagnose” your hearing or balance problem. Medicare does not currently cover regular hearing exams or treatment, including hearing aids and exams for fitting hearing aids.

Indiana medicaid will cover one hearing aid for an adult with prior authorization. WE ARE NOT PROVIDERS FOR INDIANA MEDICAID OR ANY OF THE INDIANA MEDICAID MANAGED CARE PROGRAMS.

We are out of network with all Medicare Advantage plans You must contact your medicare advantage insurance carrier, i.e. Humana, Anthem, United Healthcare to see what your hearing care benefits are. Please BEWARE that many of these plans do NOT offer a benefit. They offer a discount program with only specific providers. You do NOT get to choose your own provider.

A deductible is the amount of money that YOU must pay to the healthcare provider before the insurance starts paying. This amount will vary by carriers and plans. If the deductible is not yet met for the year, YOU will be required to pay for services until the deductible is met.
