Dr. Lauren Brenneman joined the Doctors Hearing Care team in January 2016 as a doctoral candidate from the University of Louisville. She received her Bachelor of Science in communication disorders from the University of Kentucky in 2013 and her Doctorate of Audiology from the University of Louisville in 2017. She was drawn to a career in audiology because she believes helping others communicate with their loved ones provides a better quality of life.
Dr. Brenneman practices comprehensive patient-centered audiologic care for both pediatric and adult patients. She specialized in the management of tinnitus and other sound sensitivity disorders; she is one of the few audiologists to have completed supplemental coursework in tinnitus retraining therapy. Her training was under the neuroscientist who developed this therapy approach.
Dr. Brenneman was born and raised in southern Ohio and moved to Kentucky for college after graduating high school. While at UK, she fell in love with the southern charm of Kentucky and made Louisville her home. Of course, as a UK graduate, Dr. Brenneman is a die-hard Wildcats fan and believes basketball season is the best time of the year! She is also a self-proclaimed foodie and dog lover. She enjoys all things related to food: baking, cooking, and exploring the diverse food culture Louisville has to offer. She is a dog mom to two adorable pups with giant personalities, Benson and Jackson.
